Five Mentors Collective (5MC), fivementorscollective.com

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones fivementorscollective.com (the "Website") uses, why we use them, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, phone or other device when you visit it. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and SDKs; for simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site, such as how visitors use it.

2. Who Sets Cookies on This Website?

Cookies set directly by 5MC when you visit the Website are called "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by a third-party service we use, for example, an analytics provider or a video-hosting platform whose content we embed, are called "third-party" cookies; these are governed both by this Policy and by the relevant third party's own cookie or privacy policy, which we link to below where applicable.

The controller responsible for the first-party cookies described in this Policy is Marga Guitart, with registered office at [FULL REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can contact us at hello@margaguitart.com.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies (always on)

These cookies are necessary for the Website to function properly, for example, to remember your cookie preferences, to keep the Website secure, or to balance load across our servers. Because they are strictly necessary to provide the Website, they do not require your consent under Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSICE, and cannot be switched off through our cookie preference tool.

Analytics cookies (optional)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website, for example, the number of visitors, the pages they view, and where they came from, so that we can improve it. Where these cookies allow us, or our analytics provider, to identify you directly or indirectly, we only set them with your prior consent.

Embedded video content (optional)

Some pages on the Website may include videos hosted on third-party platforms, such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you choose to play an embedded video, the relevant platform may set its own cookies on your device to enable playback and, depending on your settings and account status with that platform, for its own analytics or advertising purposes. Until you interact with an embedded video player and consent to its cookies, videos may instead be shown as a static thumbnail or a plain link that takes you to the third-party site to watch the video there.

5MC does not currently use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising on the Website; see our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" page for more information. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and our cookie banner accordingly and seek your consent before any such cookies are set.

4. Cookies We Use

The table below lists the cookies used on the Website, grouped by category. This table reflects a representative cookie audit of the Website and will be reviewed and updated periodically; the specific third-party cookies present may vary depending on your settings, location, and the features of the Website you use.

5. Legal Basis and Consent

Under Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSICE and the ePrivacy rules implementing EU Directive 2002/58/EC, we may only store or access cookies on your device where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, or where you have given your prior, informed, and freely given consent.

This means that, before any non-essential cookie (such as an analytics or embedded-video cookie) is set, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or configure your preferences by category; rejecting or withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Where cookies also involve the processing of personal data (for example, an analytics identifier linked to your IP address), that processing is additionally subject to the GDPR and to our Privacy Policy, and consent is likewise the legal basis relied upon under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

6. How to Manage or Withdraw Your Consent

You can change your cookie preferences on the Website at any time by clicking on the link in the footer of the Website (or the cookie preference icon, where displayed), and adjusting the available toggles by category before saving your choices. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings, including by blocking or deleting cookies, or by asking to be notified before a cookie is set. Because this affects every site you visit, and not only ours, you may wish to consult your browser's help resources or one of the following:

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, across all websites that use it, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

As explained in our Privacy Policy, the Website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals; please use the cookie preference tool and browser controls described above to manage your preferences.

Please note that if you block or delete essential cookies, some parts of the Website may not work as intended.

7. Third-Party Cookies and International Data Transfers

Where a cookie is set by a third-party provider (such as our analytics or video-hosting providers), that provider acts either as our data processor or, in the case of platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, as an independent controller of the data collected through its own cookies, governed by its own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

Some of these providers may be located, or may process data, outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we require appropriate safeguards to be in place, such as an adequacy decision recognised by the European Commission (including, where applicable and valid at the relevant time, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or other valid transfer mechanisms under the GDPR. Because the legal status of some international transfer mechanisms can change over time, we keep this assessment under review; you can request further information by contacting us as set out in Section 10.

8. How Long Do Cookies Last?

Some cookies are "session" cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Others are "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period (as shown in the tables in Section 4) or until you delete them. We only keep cookie-derived data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which the cookie was set, consistent with the retention principles described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our service providers, or applicable law. We will publish the updated Policy on this page together with the revised "Last updated" date and, where the changes are material or introduce new categories of non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again through our cookie banner.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy or wish to exercise your data protection rights in relation to cookies, please contact us at hello@margaguitart.com. For more information about how we process personal data generally, please see our Privacy Policy.
